Overview of Department
Evaluation & Computer Resources provides the School of Medicine with computer and software assistance, web site assistance and maintenance, testing services, database assistance, audio/video streaming services (Windows Media and Apple Quicktime), Scala digital signage services, UMKC Active Directory/Exchange/Email Single Sign On (SSO) accounts, and purchasing.
The department includes the Medical Education Media Center (MEMC) and the Technical Learning Center (TLC). It also works with the Office of Educational Resources (OER) to develop and maintain the School of Medicine's Web site.
Computer Services
General Computer/Software Support for the Medical School:
When contacting Evaluation and Computer Resources for service (phone or email), please provide the following information:
- name
- office number/address
- type of equipment requiring service
- description of problem
- status of situation - i.e. is the problem an:
- Emergency = compromising ability to do your job – need assistance as soon as possible.
- Urgent = need assistance as soon as possible, but can still function to some degree
- Routine = can work with the situation until assistance is available
