UMKC Students
Please consult your ETC and the Curriculum Council’s guidelines on electives prior to any final decisions. All electives in this database have been classified to assist you in your scheduling. Information on away electives is provided for you to aid you in your search and to give you the appropriate curriculum course number and category to which the experience is assigned. Updates are made regularly but the host institution will have the most up-to-date information on this experience.
To apply to an existing UMKC elective, please contact your ETC.
If you are planning on doing an in-town, out-of-town or international elective you must either:
Choose a pre-approved elective from this database and complete the Pre-Approved Out of Town Elective Form
Schedule new electives that have not previously been approved by the Council on Curriculum by completing the New Elective Course Description– Short Form A (for electives based in the United States and associated with an LCME-accredited institution or approved residency program) or New Elective Course Description – Long Form B (for electives at UMKC affiliates, international sites, or private practice).
