• Month-long clinical rotations, the general clinical assignment and docent rotation make up most of the final two years.
• A one-month rural Missouri preceptorship in Year 5 provides experience in societal and health care concerns unique to non-urban primary care settings, as well as the business operations integral to a physician in a small-town clinic.
• At least three clinical electives are required in Years 4-6. At least three of the clinical electives taken must come from three of the nine general elective categories approved by the School of Medicine.

• Clerkships in psychiatry, surgery, emergency rotation and obstetrics/ gynecology are some of the typical course offerings in the final two years of medical school. Additionally, one month is devoted to training in the medical humanities.
