APPLICATION

The residency program selects the best qualified candidates regardless of race, sex, creed, color, national origin, handicap, or age, as required by law. The selection process begins with a review of the applicant's completed file that contains:

  • Completed application form (The department only accepts applications through ERAS).
  • Personal statement
  • Letter of reference from Dean of the candidate's medical school
  • Letter from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Chairman where rotation or elective was completed
  • Letter from two faculty members who have special knowledge of the candidate
  • Medical School transcript
  • National Boards Part I and II or COMLEX scores
 

Interviews are by invitation and are held November through February. It is important to submit all of the documentation listed above as early as possible.
