CA-3

In the fourth year (CA-3), residents may choose from two separate tracks: research or advanced anesthesia. During the last 6 months of the resident's CA-2 year, he or she will work with the Chairman to develop either a personalized CA-3 year consisting of 9 months of advanced anesthesia rotations and 3 months of research (advanced anesthesia track) or 6 months of advanced anesthesia rotations and 6 months of research (research track). The CA-3 year is designed to be highly flexible in meeting the individual needs of the resident while at the same time providing the resident with advanced clinical and didactic skills.
