Primary Care Track

About the Program

The primary care tract provides internal medicine residents the opportunity to prepare themselves for a career in primary care internal medicine. Our first year of residency is identical to all other categorical internal medicine residents. Our 2nd & 3rd year is when we have to the opportunity to pursue different interests in the primary care outpatient setting. These opportunities would substitute some of our medicine requirements. We have a variety of outpatient opportunities that include but are not limited to dermatology, cardiology, sport medicine, sleep medicine, pulmonary function test, pulmonary, gynecology. Along with our required once a week continuity clinic we can also add an additional continuity clinic to our outpatient experience. It is our goal to provide the best environment possible for residents to develop there skills as primary care physicians.
